Here's where my creations end up, from crochet and needle felting to painting. Along with some random things I just happened to like.

Stripes - Crochet Puppy with Jersey
Adapted from a pattern in a Japanese Amigurumi Crochet book.
I haven't asked him but I'm pretty sure he's a Wheaten Terrier.
Crochet Pinto Patch Pony
A gift I made a wee while ago. Made out of my head so I don't have a pattern unfortunately.
Made good use of those pink novelty yarns I had stashed away. Reminded me of my old 'My Little Pony' - she was white with sparkly moonbeams and stars on her rump, and had a red mane with a purple streak. How I miss you, Moonbeam.
It's all fun and games until...
This is Flame the Crocheted Yet Cool Little Ocular Patch girl. She has stunning hair but I think she could do with further embellishment. Maybe a little red accent to complement her fiery do. Not sure why she's wearing the eye patch. Maybe something to do with her creator losing an eye (hers).

Freestyle Crochet Donkey

To make this sweet little donkey, I basically crocheted a donkey-shaped 'bag' from the nose back, increasing and decreasing stitches to freeform a donkey shape. At the shoulders I left two holes for the front legs and continued with the body, to come back later and continue crocheting down the legs.
The back legs were added separately later, as were the other donkey bits - tail, mane, eyes and of course the donkey's ears.
It was fun to work without a pattern but risky too. Living life on the edge, one stitch at a time.
Sticks and stone figure
I love how natural this figure is. I went to paint a face onto the stone but I prefer how facial features somehow suggest themselves without any help. The stone is contained and attached by red thread crocheted to enclose it. I still collect sticks and stone, meaning to do more with these ideas.

Trouser boy is a work in progress (aren't we all? :o) When I bumped into Aunty Veronika at Spotlight the other day I couldn't bring myself to tell her why I needed so much chunky blue yarn. A dog? she asked. A chicken? A teddy bear?
He almost ended up half finished under the bed, but he does have a certain charm, so he's been allowed to stay in the living room for now... He scared the crap out of Eddie, who did a double take and started growling at him. I must admit, I keep catching sight of him out of the corner of my eye and get a fright because I think there's someone standing there. And in a way, there is. It's Trouser boy.

Omelette and Pikelette
My first doll!
I was given one of Susanna Oroyan's books for my birthday
- it was so inspirational and something clicked.
I realised I could bring together many of the skills I've learnt,
some of which I had up to now considered merely tangents.
Omelette and Pikelette began life as a pair of wire
crochet circles. The circles sprouted claws and then
proceeded to grow into chicken legs.
It was then obvious that what was needed
was a chicken... or two...
