One of my wee chooks died last weekend
:o(

She was very cute and friendly and I'll miss her but painting her helped me feel a little better.

Omelette and Pikelette

My first doll!
I was given one of Susanna Oroyan's books for my birthday
- it was so inspirational and something clicked.
I realised I could bring together many of the skills I've learnt,
some of which I had up to now considered merely tangents.

Omelette and Pikelette began life as a pair of wire
crochet circles. The circles sprouted claws and then
proceeded to grow into chicken legs.
It was then obvious that what was needed
was a chicken... or two...
